Amaranthus Copperhead is a prolific and vigorous growing variety that produces large, multi-bract, feathery plume-type copper colored heads on tall 48" - 60" inch sturdy stalks. This early maturing variety can add just the right amount of subtle neutral color to blend into cutting and cottage gardens perfectly. This crossover food crop is a popular cut flower variety and produces the best quality stems when the center is pinched to create strong side shoot stems. Time your plantings for early fall harvest as this is the perfect autumn color and the stems are highly salable during the fall season. Copperhead has excellent vase life and holds its rich saturated color when used fresh or dried. To avoid seeds freely self sowing, cut all the blooms before the heads bolt. Packet: 100 seeds.
