Ammi majus Queen of Africa is a hardy annual that produces a delightful, airy, bushed 48" inch plant with finely dissected fern-like leaves topped by delicate, disk shaped, lacy umbels comprised of thousands of individual micro flowers that create one umbrella shaped bloom. Specifically bred for the cut flower industry, it is mostly used as a cut flower "filler". This garden charmer makes a wonderful addition to a whimsical garden, or adds that airy trait to a cottage cutting garden, when used to shape a fence line, cross a border planting or as a backdrop for a colorful batch of shorter blooming varieties. Tolerant of some shade, this variety gives you flexibility to use it as a bridge between light zones. This cut-and-come-again variety is prolific from the onslaught of blooming and will be the backbone workhorse for flower growers and gardeners who relish in taking daily cuttings to make bouquets to enjoy.
