Blue Lake (Green Bush) Bean is by far the most popular garden bean grown for its abundant harvest of dark green 5" to 6" inch long stringless tender pods that are enjoyed fresh or frozen. Blue Lake Bean is a reliable performer with excellent taste and texture. Easy to grow for all garden types from patch to patio and suitable for all geographical regions, Blue Lake Bean grows an average of 16" inches and produces excellent yields over a long harvest period. This variety is often used in the 3 Sisters growing method. This is the ancient Native American technique of growing corn, beans, and squash together in a companion planting.
