Dianthus caryophyllus Chabaud Giant Model is commonly known as a Carnation flower. Well loved and historically known as "Earliest French", these ruffled edge beauties have been a garden perennial staple in cut flower gardens for centuries. This delightful mixture includes both solid and bi-color blooms in pink, white, yellow, peach and red that grow 18" to 20" inches on narrow, silvery green foliage. This flirty flower is renowned for its sweet and spicy clove scent that is unmistakable in heirloom varieties. Victorians adored carnations for their fragrance and, unlike modern bred varieties that lack a scent, Chabaud Giant lives up to its heritage with a lovely, lasting perfume. Tolerant of almost all soil types, this variety is a superstar in terms of climate adaptability when well cared for. Packet: 100 seeds.
