Details

Emerald Artichoke is a PVP thornless hybrid variety with an excellent buttery flavor, delicious large meaty heart and beautiful glossy Irish green color. Known for its ability to be grown in many climates, Emerald Artichokes are both heat and cold tolerant, making this variety ideal for fresh market growers. This variety can be gown as an annual or a perennial in zone 7 or higher and produces an early to mid-season crop in 180 days. Plants grow 3' to 5' feet tall and produce 10 to 12 primary globes per plant that are 4" to 5" inches diameter and are the most tender when harvested early for best eating quality. Emerald Artichoke is also a popular ornamental plant in border plantings for their attractive silvery leaf color and interesting textural accent. Packet: 20 seeds.
