Alyssum - Sweey Alyssum

This quick growing, darling European wildflower, commonly know as Carpet Flower, is fast blooming in as little as 10 weeks! Heat tolerant, deer resistant and just 8" to 16"inches tall, this favorite is the perfect addition to the front section of your bedding planters. Also container friendly, Sweet Alyssum makes a wonderful addition to hanging baskets and displays a long blooming season from spring through fall. Most importantly, Alyssum attracts and supports beneficial insects such as lacewings, parasitic wasps, syrphid flies and tachinid flies. This annual flower is available in white, light pink, violet and deep pink mulberry. Alyssum is best grown in full sun and will tolerate partial shade.
