Saponaria - Soapwort

Saponaria, commonly known as Soapwort or Tumbling Ted, is available in both annual cut flower and perennial ground cover varieties. Redemption's delightful pink cut flower variety is a flowering annual that features flower heads comprised of multiple flower clusters with delicate, whorled petals on loose spray stems ideal for bouquets or cut flower arrangements. The perennial plant is better known as Soapwort and has a history with early settlers, who had used the ground cover variety as a detergent and soap. Both varieties make beautiful additions to gardens of all settings, blooming from early summer through fall.
