Gloriosa Irish Eyes, a part of the Rudbeckia gloriosa family, produces exceptional 4" to 5" inch daisy-type flowers. Petals with a distinguished golden-orange ombre halo surround a lime-green button center punctuated with a black fringe, commonly called the "eyelash". The lush deeply textured petals further the attractive appearance of this well-loved cut flower favorite.
This first year flowering biennial is a year round charmer. Regular deadheading will increase flower production throughout the bloom cycle. Subsequently, the seed heads are good for winter interest and can be used in dried arrangements.
Plants grow 24" to 36" inches and are fairly drought tolerant once established, making Irish Eyes suitable for xeriscaping. In addition to being a strong cut flower production crop, this variety makes a wonderful addition to mixed beds and container gardens. Packet: 50 seeds.
