Monarda fistulosa Wild Bergamot is a centuries old medicinal plant, cited for its use by indigenous people, that is native to North America and thrives in nearly every climate. The bright lilac purple blossoms resemble a firecracker exploding with unique vertical tendrils that have a micro "feather" at the tip of each one, which looks similar to how a firework shimmers in the night sky. Plants have bright green aromatic foliage and grow to 30" inches tall. Simply a fantastic garden planting and exceptional cut flower. Expect blooms from mid-summer to early frost. This flowering perennial is prolific and will spread while growing and can be divided in early fall each year to increase your plantings. Packet: 100 seeds.
