Description

Details

Red Gruner Purslane produces juicy, succulent type green leaves with pretty pink stems that feature a crisp texture and mild flavor. The leaves on Red Gruner are the smallest of the varieties that we offer. This cut-and-come-again workhorse will regenerate upon harvest. Also known as pigweed, little hogweed, moss rose and “verdolaga” in Latin America this variety is sensitive to frost and prefers a more moderate climate to thrive. A popular ingredient in Asian and European dishes, in the US purslane is often eaten as a salad topper or used as a fresh crisp garnish. 50 days. Packet: 500 seeds.
