Rosemary is a beloved garden herb both for its ability to flavor culinary dishes and for its delightful aroma. Well formed bushes grow 16" - 18" inches tall with evergreen blue-green sprig type branches with stiff slender leaf needles. A staple herb for seasoning poultry, potatoes and vegetable dishes, Rosemary is also an excellent addition to handmade breads and seasoning olive oil. Rosemary is used in herbal remedies, as well as in potpourris, bath salts and hard pressed soaps for its intoxicating, invigorating scent. Often used as a traditional component of festival and wedding decorations, Rosemary is historically considered a protection plant to ward off evil influences. This perennial herb will flower in the hottest part of the season with pretty petite lilac flowers. Plants with well established roots will die back, overwinter and return in spring when the weather warms. Known as a great bedding plant, it grows well in containers and confined spaces. NOTE: Germination is naturally low and variable. Packet: 100 seeds.
