Rudbeckia hirta Chocolate Orange is a striking flowering perennial that features 3" to 4" inch, dark chocolate colored, daisy type flowers with a distinct orange to yellow halo around the petal tips and an almost black center button eye. Flowers sit on top of 18" inch sturdy stems- ideal for cut flowers. This wow worthy combination will put on a color show from early spring all the way through the first frost of fall. A highly versatile tonal backdrop to set off border and color block plantings, containers and patio pots. Heat tolerant, deer resistant, freely self seeding and drought tolerant once established. A true favorite for the fall season, Chocolate Orange is an excellent choice for nursery stock growers who enjoy focusing on seasonal color themes. Packet 50 seeds.
