Rudbeckia hirta Prairie Sun is a delightful perennial that features unique bi-color blooms. 4" to 6" inch blooms have petals with an ombre effect-golden at the centers and lighter at their tips, punctuated with a distinctive apple-green cone shaped center button. This well loved cut flower favorite has exceptional vase life and is an All American Selections and Fleuroselect Gold winner. Enjoy this showy variety in border plantings, containers or in large groupings where you desire a wide patch of vibrant color from summer through early fall. Blooms grow on sturdy straight stems and plants grow to 28" to 32" inches tall. Tender perennial in zones 8-10. Cut flower production growers often grow this variety as an annual in zones 7 and below. Packet: 30 seeds.
