Salvia viridis Cottage Rose, also known as Painted Sage or Clary Sage, is a quintessential cottage garden favorite featuring rose colored vertical bracts with neatly spaced, elongated leaves showing distinctive veining that serve as the "petals". The bracts have an ombre color effect, starting at the bottom with blue-green leaves transitioning to the showy tips which turn color when mature. Plants grow an average of 20" to 24" inches tall and can be used in arrangements either fresh or dried. As an everlasting flower, the color remains stable even after being air dried.
