Walla Walla Onion is a delicious, sweet, mild heirloom onion with a non-pungent aroma. This long-day variety features creamy white flesh with a thin light brown wrapper. This variety is the only sweet onion that thrives in the long days of the northern two-thirds of the country. Originally from Corsica, the Walla Walla onion was brought to Washington in the early 1900's. Robust bulbs can top 2 lbs and are widely popular among home and professional chefs for their versatility to be used both raw and cooked.
