Achillea millefolium White, also known as Yarrow, is a cheerful, easy to grow, prolific blooming perennial flower featuring umbrella shaped, disc flower heads comprised of thousands of micro flowers resembling daisies clustered together, making individual, 2" to 5" inch flower blooms. Plants grow an average of 30" inches tall producing 20" to 24" inch flower stems with deep green, fern like feathery foliage. Yarrow is commonly used in cutting gardens and to soften angular shapes in border and bed plantings. It is a staple ingredient in pollinator gardens for its delicate appearance, pleasing aroma, low maintenance and brilliant tapestry of color combinations. An excellent variety for supporting beneficial insects such as butterflies, damsel bugs, lacewings, ladybugs, and parasitic wasps.
Popularly used in the floral industry as a "filler flower", this cut flower favorite is always in high demand due to its long vase life and lacy decorative appearance. When dried, the color remains stable so Yarrow is also favorite ingredient for dried flower arrangements. The millefolium variety typically blooms from mid-spring until the first fall frost when it will self-seed to return again next season. When cut early in the season, plants will bloom again making this a "must grow" workhorse cut-and-come-again variety for cut flower growers. The White variety is pure white. Excellent for bridal bouquets and striking border accents. Packet: 100 seeds.
